Happy Friday! We’re feeling pink this Earth Day and thought we’d share a little bit of our mood with you. It’s a perfect weekend to enjoy every thing mother earth has to offer, including the peaking cherry blossoms at The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. So throw on a crisp chambray, grab a blanket and do at least one thing to minimize your carbon footprint this weekend. And don’t forget to stop and smell all those delicious blooms!
One of the easiest ways to do your part is by using re-usable bags. We made these convenient totes using the seasonal Tulips & Wildflowers prints, both laminated cotton for easy clean up. The patterns are available from Atkinson Designs here.
Let us know what you’ll be doing to celebrate Earth Day by adding a comment below. Your comment will enter you in a chance to win the re-useable lunch bag and wine tote! One lucky winner will be chosen at random on Monday, April 23rd. Good luck!

No driving for me this weekend. Staying home to put together a raised bed garden.
I hope to just enjoy this spring weather here in TX for earth day.
Planting raised garden beds to minimize my shopping and driving.
I also will be planting a garden, and repotting some of my houseplants.
I will be repurposing materials in my sewing project this weekend!

Each year my family and I plant saplings. Anywhere from 1 to 1000 depending on the current activities going on in April.
Some spring gardening (now that it hasn’t rained), along with enjoying the outdoors @ the LA Times Festival of Books!
I will probably be outside, where I love to be, and maybe driving some golf balls across lush, green fields!
I’m going to an Earth Day fair and making nature crafts!
Enjoying this Spring rain today, as it has been so dry here in Maine the fire danger is very high. Will compost my raised bed this afternoon, then check out the stream behind my home to clean up any debris. Thanks!
cleaning up our yard and garage thanks
Hopefully some gardening!
