Jack and Lulu has us swooning with their latest collection, French Lessons. It’s hard to resist the classic Eiffel Towers, sweet little hearts, and the macaroons print!
We thought the prints from this line would look adorable in Jaybird Quilts‘ baby pattern, Giggles, so we had to sew it up! This was made by Clare Rip, and it hung in our booth at Quilt Market in October. Jack and Lulu’s super fun colors truly pop against the crisp white background, and the aqua Café Stripe for the binding just seals the deal. We’re smitten! This would be perfect for a baby boy or girl.
We were dying to hear about the inspiration behind this adorable collection, so we asked Jack and Lulu for the low-down!
My love affair with France began after my first trip to Paris in high school. It continued into my twenties when my husband took me back to Paris to propose to me on the Pont Louis Philippe with a beautiful view of Notre Dame and the Seine River in the moonlight. Over the summer, I took my third trip to France, this time with my husband and two children.
France is my favorite place on Earth. It is a country where beauty, fashion, architecture, and amazing food all take center stage. I wanted to share a few pictures from both the South of France and Paris from our recent trip so you could get a better idea of my inspiration behind my latest collaboration with Dear Stella, French Lessons. Baguettes, cute dogs, great cars, amazing sweets, gardens and architecture all describe what make France such an inspirational place for me as an artist. Hope you enjoy the photos and the fabrics… Merci beaucoup!
Thanks Julie! We love seeing a peek into your life and inspiration.
