Yup, another Quilt Market has come and gone! We flew to Houston a few weeks ago for the twice-yearly trade show and displayed our newest fabric collections and samples!
Today we’re going to share a recap of our time at Quilt Market, and at the verrrry end we’ve got a little giveaway for you. We hope you enjoy! : )
The day before the show starts there’s a series of lectures called Schoolhouse. Dear Stella hosted three Schoolhouse sessions this fall, and they were presented by Jessica VanDenburgh of Sew Many Creations and Shayla and Kristy Wolf of Sassafras Lane Designs. Here’s a quick photo we snapped of Sassafras Lane unveiling their newest Block of the Month, Empire Place! This quilt features our Intermix basics. How stunning is this?! We’ll be blogging about this quilt soon… Stay tuned.
Another snap of the gorgeous Empire Place BOM!
The Sassafras Lane ladies made pillows using the blocks from Empire Place, and they popped right off the shelf!
Sassafras Lane also released a bunch of mini quilt patterns – on this shelf you can spot Mini Piccadilly Circle using a rainbow of our Polka Dots (Stella-187).
The lovely Luck of the Irish collection looks so good in our free Essential Basket pattern!
We showcased Rae Ritchie’s debut collection, Desert Bloom, front and center. Desert Bloom will be shipping this month! We love the airy feel of Rae’s fabric, especially in the gorgeous free Mojave quilt pattern (blog post coming soon; made by Shelly Pagliai).
We told you, we really did frame our booth in these amazing London Backpacks! Here are two stitched up in the Succulents from Desert Bloom and the Unicorns from Pixie Dust. Many thanks again to our friend Leslie Meltzer for making all of these.
These sweet Geranium dresses were a huge hit (pattern by Made by Rae). How could we not make them in the super-cute pinks from Pixie Dust?! They go perfectly with the Mary Jane baby shoes also made in this collection (tutorial by The Cottage Mama). Made by Monica Rodriguez.
In this sea of pink, you might also be able to spot the Sweetheart Tooth Fairy Pillow made by Melissa Lunden. Get the free tutorial here!
We couldn’t resist making a rainbow of Polka Dot bloomers. Made by Monica Rodriguez; similar tutorial here.
We shared some quilts using Hello Sailor!, Asuka, and Luck of the Irish. From center (working clockwise): Prism Parkway by Sassafras Lane (blog post coming soon), Chopsticks by Jaybird Quilts (made by Shelly Pagliai; blog post coming soon), and Canyon Boulevard by Sassafras Lane (blogged here).
Pixie Dust looked beautiful on one of the top shelves. The quilt on the left is Day Break by Jaybird Quilts (made by Kristi Ryan; blogged here), and the small quilt on the right is our free Pixie Patchwork Stroller Quilt (made and designed by Beth Rowan).
The saturated colors of Asuka shined on the second shelf! We love this palette.
Holding down the fort in Houston were Jessica Stern (right) and her partner-in-crime Jessica VanDenburgh of Sew Many Creations. We had a great time chatting with all the lovely people who stopped by the booth. Thank you all so much for coming!
Okay, are you ready for our giveaway!? Up for grabs is one fat quarter bundle of your choice + a rainbow charm pack of our popular Polka Dots!
1. Leave a comment letting us know your favorite Dear Stella collection from our booth in the photos above.
We’ll be picking one winner at random on Monday, November 16th. Good luck! : )
