Recap // QuiltCon 2016

Did you go to QuiltCon West in Pasadena last month? We had a blast sharing an exhibitor booth with our sister company, Timeless Treasures. Visitors to our booth worked on “helping hands” charity quilt blocks (full reveal later!), and had the chance to win prizes and grab a temporary tattoo.

Today we’re sharing some photos from our time at QuiltCon – check it out!

Here’s a shot of our booth before the first day. We had tons of fabric (in color order, of course) as well as sewing supplies for our charity blocks. Many thanks to Prym Consumer and Aurifil Thread for donating these supplies. And in case you’re wondering, those gorgeous quilted signs were made by Sassafras Lane Designs using various basics from Dear Stella and Timeless Treasures.

We used our Quick Zip Clutches to hold marking tools, snips, and scissors. They were the perfect size! Find the free pattern here.

Along the back of our booth, we featured a bunch of mini quilts made by Sassafras Lane Designs. They released this line of minis at Quilt Market last fall, and they were a huge hit at QuiltCon! Find the patterns on their website here.

Once the show began, there was a flood of people who stopped by and participated in our charity block activity. We had a lovely time connecting with the community and getting to know everyone who visited!

We collected almost 200 “helping hand” blocks at the show, and these blocks will be used to make quilts that will be given back to the Pasadena community. Stay tuned to our blog and social media for updates, and check out last year’s QuiltCon quilts here!

We can’t wait to see all of the handprints come together!
