Kristen of Two Blondes and a Sewing Machine made these adorable projects using Stellasaurus! Be sure to ask your local quilt shop for this awesome dinosaur collection!
She’s stopping by the Dear Stella blog to tell you about these dino-mite fabrics!
Hello my fellow Stellasaurus fans! When this line came out I was so thrilled! Not many novelty lines fit me and my son but this one is perfect. He loves dinosaurs and I love the way the designs are created for this line. The right balance of kids fun and science museum feel.
For my first set of projects I decided to whip up a little mommy and me outfit for my one year old. (I’ve got to take advantage of this for as long as I can with him allowing me to dress him as my matching twin!)
For Carter’s outfit I used the Oliver and S Sketchbook pattern. The shorts are such a fun sew and fit him so well, and the button up is so cute on little dudes! I used a 6-12 mo sizing for him because he is one long and lean bud. The shirt is sewn out of Jurassic in Moonlight and the shorts/accent for top is Net in Smoke.
Quilting cotton is truly such a wonderful substrate and works so well in garments. I used to fear it but have grown so fond of it. Don’t be afraid to jump right in with one of Dear Stella’s precious prints for clothes!!! They really are a match made in heaven.
