Happy summer friends! I think No Drama Llama is the absolute perfect summer fabric line. The cacti are just the best and the colors scream for some summer fun!
When I first saw this line I just knew I wanted to make a little girls outfit. A ton of my friends have had little ones since my son was born and I take every opportunity I get to sew up a cute outfit for them! No Drama Llama pairs so well with Dear Stella’s Fresh Dew Knits, so I paired up a Simple Life Pattern Co. Baby Molly top with some super soft knit Brindille and Twig Leggings. I just love how the colors match so well.
I kind of want this outfit myself! Both of these patterns are my tried and true go to for little girl outfits. They both sew up quickly and have a very finished look about them. The only adjustment I made was cutting the bands for the size up on the waist and legs of the leggings.
This fabric was just too perfect for me to finally make an outfit from Sew Caroline’s newest book Weekend Style.
I will be using this book as my go to for all things coming up. All of the patterns are quick and versatile! For No Drama Llama, I decided to sew up an afternoon skirt and pair it with a Tilly Tee in Dear Stella Knit.
The Tilly Tee is THE MOST COMFY shirt I’ve ever made. I sized up and left the sleeves and waist raw edged. I rolled the sleeves twice and tied the waist to hit higher on my skirt.
The skirt is so much fun. The pockets give it such a finished look and allow for every day wear. Since I knew I end up chasing my little one around and picking him up I decided not to shorten the hem but if I was making it again I would consider adjusting the hem a little. I loved using large buttons for the skirt to make them pop!
This outfit is such a staple for your wardrobe and the prints of No Drama Llama make it the go to for my summer outfits!
